Tune in to this brief survey of sound to find out more about the prolific, but little known history of electroacoustic music from throughout Latin America, dating back to the late-1950s.

Program 1: Flying Ears, Sounding Minds - I: The Early Years
The first part includes fixed music for tape, live electronics and mixed pieces for electroacoustic media and acoustic instruments. This program includes work composed between the late-1950s and the mid-1980s by composers from Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Mexico, Peru
and Venezuela.

The second part includes fixed music for tape/CD and mixed pieces for electroacoustic media and acoustic instruments. This body of work was composed between the mid-1980s to the present by composers from Uruguay, Puerto Rico, Ecuador, Cuba, Colombia, Brazil,
Argentina and Chile.
